As reported by the online brokerage portal "Immoscout", the purchase prices for residential real estate in the capital increased by 12.5 percent in 2020 compared to the previous year, more than anywhere else in Germany. In the rest of the republic, the price increase was not quite in double digits at 9.4 percent.
In other metropolises, too, prospective buyers did not have to accept nearly as strong growth as in the capital: in Hamburg prices rose by 7.6 percent, in Frankfurt by 6.9 percent, in Cologne by 5.9 percent and in Munich by 4.2 Percent.
To determine the prices, the online portal relies on the evaluation of the offers on its own website, so they are offer prices.
