Exhibition highlights 2024 in Berlin

Finally back to the museum! Berlin shines again with countless highlights this year.

The exhibition year 2024 will once again feature top-class art highlights from the areas of contemporary art, old masters, photography and much more. Here is a selection from the wide range of offers:

Nancy Holt: Circles of Light
March 22 to July 21, 2024
The exhibition "Circles of Light" in Berlin's Gropius Bau includes, among other things, film, video, photography, sculptures and large-scale installations as well as drawings and documentation by the US artist Nancy Holt from over 25 years.

Caspar David Friedrich: Infinite Landscapes
April 19th to August 4th, 2024
The Alte Nationalgalerie is showing the exhibition “Infinite Landscapes” on the occasion of the 250th birthday of Caspar David Friedrich. On display are 60 paintings and 50 drawings from home and abroad, including world-famous icons.

The Berlin Show
June 7th to November 10th, 2024
A homage to Helmut Newton's hometown: In "The Berlin Show", Newton's iconic and many unknown Berlin images are also shown, as well as photos of his early sources of inspiration.

Frans Hals
July 12th to November 3rd, 2024
In 2024, Berlin will celebrate one of the greatest portrait painters of all time with an exhibition in the Gemäldegalerie. Alongside Rembrandt and Vermeer, Frans Hals is one of the outstanding Dutch painters of the 17th century and one of the most important portraitists of all.

Nan Goldin: This Will Not End Well

Stories about love, intimacy, addiction and loss: The exhibition “This Will Not End Well” in the Neue Nationalgalerie shows a retrospective of the extraordinary photographer Nan Goldin.
