Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival
February 15 to 25, 2024
The Berlin International Film Festival is one of the most important events in the film industry worldwide. Up to 400 films will be shown. Every year around 300,000 tickets are sold to the public. The jury awards a total of eight prizes every year, including the Golden Bear for the best film and the Silver Bear for the best actress.
Tanzolymp - International Youth Dance Festival
February 15 to 19, 2024
Berlin as an international meeting place for cultures - this is the basic idea for the international dance festival Tanzolymp. The Tanzolymp is a competition for young dancers aged 10 to 21 and takes place annually in Berlin under the motto “Dance as a world language”. In addition to scholarships, including for the Munich Ballet Academy, the prizes also include contracts, cash prizes and press prizes. The festival is now internationally regarded by artists and experts as a “stock exchange” for young talent. There are six different dance categories: Classical/Neoclassical, Modern/Contemporary, Character/Folklore, Jazz, Pop and Tap.

Berlin Valentine's Run

The Valentine's Run in the Gardens of the World is a relatively new addition to the Berlin running calendar: the pair run will take place for the fourth time in 2024. Whether best friends, couples or parents with children: the Valentine's Day run is run together. The route scores with asphalted paths with no elevation gain. You can choose between a 3-kilometer run (First Love), a 5-kilometer run (Little Love) and a 10-kilometer run (Big Love).
Japanese market Berlin

The Japanese culture and design market takes place in the Kreuzberg Festival Hall. There is art, beauty and local delicacies. The program includes demonstrations, workshops and hands-on activities that invite you to immerse yourself in Japanese culture. Another highlight is the Kimono Fashion Show with musical accompaniment. The Japan market takes place four times a year; other dates are May 5th (cherry blossom festival), July 7th (summer festival) and November 24th, 2024 (Christmas market).
