Renovation projects

The building was built in the years 1883-1885 by the architect Alber Biebendt. During the history of more than a hundred years, it has been used as a storehouse, a factory and as an exhibition space for artists' initiatives. Now 12 condominiums will be developed which can be used for living and working purposes or even both, covering an area of approximately 2.900 m².

The substance of this classic, six-storey industrial building from the founding is unique. The immediate position to the water and the south-west orientation is being used perfectly because for all units, a spacious balcony or a large terrace will be created to the waterfront. On the other hand, the possibilities of an individual design have no limits in the inside. A beautiful ceiling and building props can be perfectly integrated into an open living concept. A part of the production costs is tax deductible because of the care and preservation of ancient monuments.

The renovation has the objective to preserve the original character of the property and to bring people together who consciously choose this particular form of living. This beautiful old brick factory is located in the northern Stralau on the shores of Rummelsburger-See. The peninsula Stralau is part of the district Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Other districts of Berlin are therefore easily accessible, while the object is idyllically situated.
